#Chicken Tikka (Chicken Marinated with yogurt & Spices)

Easy and simple recipe perfect for barbecue party or any party as starters . You can add or reduce your spice level according to your taste. Lets go into the recipe......😃

Serves :- 3 people
Preparation time :- 10 mins
Cooking time :- 40 mins
Measurements :- in grams and in spoons

*tbsp - Tablespoon
*tsp   - Teaspoon

Ingredients
  1. Chicken breast     - 500 grams
  2. Capsicum              - 100 grams
  3. Onion                    - 100 grams
  4. Yogurt                   - 3 tbsp
  5. Ginger & Garlic paste          - ½ tbsp
  6. Gram flour or Almond flour - 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder            - ½ tsp
  8. Coriander powder           - 2 tsp
  9. Garam masala powder    - 1 tsp
  10. Chilli or Paprika powder - ½ tsp  (optional)
  11. Lemon juice                     - 1 tbsp
  12. Oil                                    - 2 tbsp
  13. Salt                                   - as per taste

Method
  1. Cut the chicken breast into medium sized cubes, also onion and capsicum in the same way cut it.
  2. Marination mix - In a wide bowl add yogurt, ginger & garlic paste, gram flour (Chickpea flour), turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder, lemon juice, oil and salt.
  3. Mix all the ingredients well. Add the chicken, capsicum and onion into the marination mixture. Mix well and allow it marinate at least for 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. 
  4. Take a skewers and arrange chicken, capsicum and onion one by one. You can cook this on barbecue grill for 10 minutes of all sides (or) On stove top place a pan, brush some oil on it, place the skewers and cook it on all sides (or) In the oven preheat it for 10 minutes at 200 and cook it for 20 minutes, then broil it for 5 minutes on both sides. 
Tips

  • The same marination mix can also be used for vegetable tikka also. You can use vegetables like potato, carrots, onion, capsicum, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms which tastes good or any other vegetables of your choice
