#Peanut Chutney (A Simple Dip)

It is a simple dip or chutney in my way and also one of the favourite dish in our family. Hope you all would love this as well. Lets go into the recipe.....😃

Serves :- 3-4 people
Preparation time :- 15 mins
Cooking time :- 10 mins
Measurements :- in grams and in spoons

*tbsp - Tablespoon
*tsp   - Teaspoon

Ingredients
  1. Peanuts           - 1 cup / 240 grams
  2. Coconut          - 1 cup / 240 grams
  3. Cumin seeds   - ½ tbsp
  4. Garlic              - 2 cloves
  5. Red Chillies    -  4    (optional)
  6. Pepper corns   - ½ tbsp
  7. Oil                   - 1 tbsp
  8. Water               - 1 cup
  9. Salt                  - as required
  10. Tamarind         - 1 tsp (Paste or fresh)
Method
  1. In a pan add oil and allow it to heat. Then add cumin, garlic, pepper, red chillies and peanuts. Saute them well in medium heat for 7 -8 minutes.
  2. Then take it off from the heat then add coconut and tamarind with this mixture. Allow the mixture to cool down. If you do not like coconut, you can skip it or reduce it according to your taste. 
  3. After cool down, add the mixture, water and salt. Grind it into a consistency you like. Then add tadka on top if you like. 
  4. Tadka - Add ½ tbsp oil, heat it up, then add mustard seeds, channa dhal, curry leaves and then add this oil on top of chutney mixture. 
Enjoy this dip with hot and soft idli or roti or with hot rice or with lemon rice or even with pasta 😃😃
