About me

Hi, I am glad that you chose to click in here. Have your seat please and I will introduce myself. Hope you got some time.

"Kitchen is my therapy room. The therapy can be cooking, baking, mixing, grinding or anything. ๐Ÿ˜Š"

Cooking is not a complicated thing I would say. All you need is little prior planning and some measurements regarding ingredients. That is it, you can create your own magic and surprise your loved ones.

I am Sharanya. I am a Mother, Wife, was a Teacher and now a Blogger. I started holding my ladle strong and confident at the age of 13 which was by reason of my lovable grandfather late Mr.Veerapar Gounder who is my Teacher (Guru) for the world of Kitchen skills. Yes you are right, that is the reason I named my blog 'VG' in order to show my gratitude for him. I started this blog on April 14th, 2020 to share my style of cooking, taste and also some scientific knowledge about the ingredients which i am using it, also why I am using those all for cooking. Keeping this idea in my mind I framed this slogan for my blog "Dispersion of tastes and flavours", where I would like to disperse my knowledge of cooking and baking which I learnt to you all.
Yeah this is my small introductory part. Would you like to know more about also some important moments and turning points of my life. Scroll on.....

Me & My Family

I was born in a small town of Tamil Nadu state in Southern part of India. I love being around kids and love to baby sit them any time (which unknowingly started from my younger brother itself ๐Ÿ˜†). I am foodie and I love to explore food with different tastes from different cuisine. I always preferred eating healthy stuffs from my childhood till now ( seriously, I do not know why so? ๐Ÿ˜„). I love adding flavours combination in my cooking. I mostly use freshly prepared spices or masala in my cooking. These habits made me to read more about each and every ingredient I used in the cooking and about its health benefits. The basic knowledge was given by my grandpa of course.
We are three in our family loaded with giggles and cares. I married him(Sathish kumar) in July, 2011. We were living in Bangalore, Karnataka. Our son (Pragalathan)  joined with us in May, 2012. They both simply love my cooking and motivate me to try on different dishes. These two guys are my biggest strength (also my weakness, what to do? ๐Ÿ˜›) in my life. Now we are living in Munich, Germany. We moved in here in April, 2018.

My Turning Point
I used to help my mother with her cooking and house hold work during my childhood(yes, you are right. It is not a big deal ๐Ÿ˜Š). Sometimes my grandpa also cooks (he was a Chef). It was a day when i was 13 where my father held with a cardiac arrest. There were no facilities to treat him in our town those days. He need to undergo an operation, so he need to go Chennai city. My mother and father went there for treatment for 30 days. It was me and my younger brother lived with our grandpa during those days. Those days are the most important and wonderful days in my life. Those are the days where I learnt more about cooking. I learnt basics of cooking and some magic with spices and herbs. That helps me still and with that I started my exploration slowly.

My Interests towards this Blog
I need to thank my wonderful and dearest friend who played a major role for this blog initiation. She is the one who loves me, encourages me all the time and most important she trust my talent. From the day I met her till now she always pushed me  a step ahead from my each level. Thanks to my mother who let me to practise this in her kitchen whenever I wanted. Her tailoring room always hold her busy inside, so her kitchen room was empty most of the time (Actually, she cooks only for survival in express mode ๐Ÿ˜ƒ). So I used this opportunity to get in and do some experiments. Also my son who is a fuzzy eater loves to eat all baked cakes and sweets. Because of him I went for baking courses and learnt the basics of baking. Later on I started trying out my own recipes in a healthier versions for babies and kids. This was noticed by some of my neighbours when I was in India. They pulled out my talents to do more also said that kids love my stuffs. So I got an idea of selling home made cooked and baked stuffs around. This doubled up my interests and ideas on this. After moving to Munich I met new people around from different part of the world and found that most of them are fond of Indian Cuisine and this made me to wonder. Fortunately through one of my friend I became a member of Tchibo community (https://community.tchibo.de/de-de/start?_ga=2.87851864.1160643507.1588640524-1165393440.1586716668) and started adding recipes with German and Indian combo tastes. I got quite good response for that. All these experiences made me to think about writing a blog for different recipes I do and share it with you all. So that is how this happened. Ooops......I know its a long one ๐Ÿ™†
