All of a sudden I got an idea to make a fresh Orange sauce to top my Orange - Chocolate cupcake. I had lot Oranges left as well. So I made this sauce along with caramel sauce. A very good accomplishment for you cake or any dessert. Lets go......😊

Usage :- Topping for cakes or Ice creams or Mousse
Preparation time :- 10 mins for each
Cooking time :- 20 mins for each
Measurements :- in grams (or) cups & spoons

*tbsp - Tablespoon
*tsp   - Teaspoon

Orange Sauce

Ingredients
  1. Fresh Orange juice - 250 ml / 1 cup
  2. Sugar     - 125 grams /  ½ cup
  3. Cornstarch powder - 15 grams / 1 tbsp
  4. Orange Zest  - 1 tbsp
  5. Butter   - 15 grams / 1 tbsp
Method
  1. In a sauce pan first strain the Orange juice into it. Then add sugar into it. Keep it on the stove and cook it on low to medium flame until the liquid reduces and slightly thickens. This process take a while for about 10-15 mins.
  2. Then in a small bowl add cornstarch and 1 tbsp of cold water. Mix well and pour this into the sauce pan. Keep stirring while pouring cornstarch liquid. Cook it for a minute. Now the sauce thickens up.
  3. Now add the room temperature butter and the orange zest into it. Mix well and keep the sauce pan aside.
  4. Allow the sauce to cool down completely. Store it in a dry glass jar inside the refrigerator. This will stay for a month.
Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
  1. Sugar             - 250 grams / 1 cup
  2. Fresh Cream  - 125 ml  /  ½ cup
  3. Butter             -  57 grams /  ¼ th cup
Method
  1. In a sauce pan add sugar and heat it on the stove in medium to low flame. Once the sugar starts melting the keep stirring the sugar. It forms lumps but do not worry. Keep stirring.
  2. After some time the sugar completely melts and turns into slight dark brown colour and also you smell nice aroma of roasted sugar. At this stage add room temperature butter and keep stirring it. It bubbles up so much while adding butter, be careful while stirring.
  3. Once butter is well combined then add the room temperature cream little by little. Do not stop stirring while adding cream. Keep the pan aside and let it cool down. Store it in a dry glass jar inside the refrigerator. This will stay for a month.

Drizzle it on your favourite dessert and enjoy   😊
