#Chicken Peas Pulauv (Rice dish cooked with meat and peas)

This Pulauv (White Briyani) is very easy and quick to make. If you like it can be your one of the lunch box menu also I guess. It needs few ingredients and very less time to cook. Lets go....

Serves :- 2-3 people
Preparation time :- 15 mins
Cooking time :- 30 mins
Measurements :- in grams and in spoons

*tbsp - Tablespoon
*tsp   - Teaspoon


Ingredients
  1. Chicken breast             - 200 grams
  2. Green peas                   - 100 grams
  3. Basmathi Rice             - 100 grams
  4. Water                           - 200 ml
  5. Cloves                          - 2 pieces
  6. Cardamom                    - 2 pieces
  7. Bay leaves                    - 1 piece
  8. Cumin seeds                 - 1 tsp
  9. Fennel seeds                 - 2 tsp
  10. Ginger paste                 - ½ tbsp
  11. Garlic paste                   - ½ tbsp
  12. Lemon juice                  - ½ tbsp
  13. Black pepper                 - 2 tsp
  14. Mint leaves                    - ¼ th cup
  15. Ghee/ Oil                       - 1 tbsp
  16. Salt                                - According to your taste

Method
  1. Wash the rice 3 times and soak it with given water measurement for 20 minutes.
  2. Cut the chicken into pieces and marinate the chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice and salt for 20 minutes.
  3. Take a cooking pot add the oil, wait until its hot. Then add the cloves, cardamom, bay leaves, cumin seeds, fennel seeds. Let it be roasted.
  4. Then add the chicken marination mixture into this pot. Also add the green peas to it. Saute well for 1 minute. Then close the lid and cook it for 15 minutes in medium heat. Do not add water because the chicken itself has its own juice and it cooks from it.
  5. Next add the soaked rice into it, mix well and check the salt. Any adjustments in taste make it at this stage. Wait until the water boils.
  6. Cover the pot with aluminium foil first and then the lid. Cook it for 10 minutes in very low heat. Then open the lid and mix it gently.
Serve it hot with Raita or salads.....😄
