Method

  1. In a bowl add water and heat it up. The water level should be enough to immerse the fish inside. Once the water is boiled, add ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt and add fish fillets into it. Let the fish cook in the boiling water for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Once the fish is cooked, take out the fish from water carefully. Let it cool down for 5 minutes. Peel off the fish skin and take it away. Now break the flesh into small pieces and keep it aside.
  3. In a pan add oil and heat it up. Then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chillies, red chillies, finely chopped shallots, chopped garlic and curry leaves. Saute them very well until the shallots turns light brown. Then add turmeric powder and 1 tsp salt. Saute them well.
  4. Then add the cooked fish and mix well. Let it cook with the mixture for 2 minutes. Check the salt at this stage and adjust it according to your taste.
